Dinner and overnight stay at Amritsar Day 3 : Amritsar – DharmshalaBreakfast at the hotel. Overnight at Mcleodganj. ![]() Day 4 : Dharamshala After breakfast the full day sightseeing tour of Dharamshala. Visit the Namgyal Monastery complex which includes Dalai Lama Temple, Kalachakra Temple . After that visit one of the oldest churches of northern India which is situated in Mcleodganj called St. John’s Church in the Wilderness. Later drive to lower Dharamshala to visit the Norbulingka Institute. Norbulingka Institute is worth visiting to see the dying art of Tibet which is preserved and developed there; like ThangkaPainting, Appliqué, Wooden and Metal works etc. Visit Karmapa monastery. Later visit the one of the most beautiful cricket stadiums in the world in Dharamshala with the panoramic backdrop of Dhauladhar mountain range. Overnight stay at Mcleodganj. Day 5 : Dharamshala – Bir & Kangra valleyToday after breakfast at hotel drive to Bir. Bir is nearly 70 km from Dharamshala and was the first Tibetan refugee colony in Himachal. Bir is very atmospheric with many Buddhist monastery. Visit the Nyingma monastery and Sherabling monastery. Bir-Billing is also World famous site for paragliders. Later on the way back to Dharamshala visit the 12th century old Shiva temple called “Baijnath Temple” and also can see one of the tea plantation near Palampur. Back drive to Mcleodganj. Overnight at Mcleodganj. Dharamshala airport After breakfast drive to Dharamshala airport and fly to Delhi. |
