Do Dham – Yamunotri & Gangotri ** Sketch Programme
Day 01: Arrive Delhi – Haridwar (210 Kms./6 hrs) You will be met at a pick up point (New Delhi Rly.Sta) and drive to Haridwar. On arrival check in at the hotel. Evening visit to Mansa Devi Temple and enjoy Aarti at Har ki Pauri.Dinner and Overnight stay at the Hotel. Day 02 : Haridwar/ Barkot (205 kms/ 8 hrs.) After breakfast drive to Barkot via Mussoorie. En route visit Kempty fall. Upon arrival check in into the hotel, rest of the day is at leisure. No activities : Reach Barkot and have proper rest. Acclimatize your mind and body to start a trek next day to Yamunotri from JanakiChatti. Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel at Hotel Day 03 : Barkot – same day excursion to Yamuntri Temple.( 35 kms. Drive + 6 kms. Trek – one way). Morning 0600 hrs. collect pack breakfast from the hotel, drive to Jankichatti, trek start from here to Yamunotri (6kms). Either by walk or by horse or by Doli. Arr. Yamunotri, One can cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the hot kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice home as "Prasad". Here near the temple "Pooja" can be offered to Divya Shila, After taking bath in Jamunabai Kund's warn water and having "Darshan" of pious "Yamunaji" returning to Jankichatti. Surya Kund: There are a Number of thermal springs in the vicinity of the temple, which flows into numerous pools. The most important of these is Surya Kund. Divya Shila: A rock pillar, worshipped before entering the Yamunotri Temple. After taking darshan at the tapt kund, Pooja darshan walk down to Janki Chatti.drive down to Barkot Dinner and Overnight stay at the hotel. Day 04 : Barkot / Harsil ( 180 kms/ 7 hrs.) After late breakfast drive to Uttarkashi enroute visit Shiv Gufha on arrival check in at the hotel.evening visit the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Shakti Temple. – enjoy the aarti.Overnight stay at the hotel. Day 05: Uttarkashi / Gangnani - Gangotri – Harsil – Gangnani / Uttarkashi (120Kms / 05 hrs) round trip With packed breakfast & post Tea/ Coffee leave for Gangotri early in the morning. offering prayers & pooja darshan, later drive back to Gangnani, en route visit Gangnani. Overnight stay at Uttarakashi. Ritual and Activities : Perform Snan at Gangotri Ghat (VIP Ghat), Ganga Pujan & Aarti at Gangotri Ghat , Darshan of Bhagirath Shila ,Darshan of Gauri Ganesha Temple, Finally Gangotri Temple Darshan after that you must have Darshan of Surya Kund. While returning Darshan of Gupteshwar Mahadev temple in Dharali , Interact with Tibetan Culture and people in Harsil .Later drive to Uttarkashi. On arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel. Day 06 : Uttarkashi/ Rishikesh (244 kms: 07 hrs) After breakfast drive to Rishikesh. On arrival check in at the hotel. Rishikesh Rishikesh, the 'place of sages' is a celebrated spiritual town on the bank of Ganga and is surrounded by Shivalik range of the Himalayas on three sides. It is said that when Raibhya Rishi did hard penances, God appeared by the name of " Hrishikesh " and this area hence firth came to be known as Rishikesh. proceed to Rishikesh sight seing (while the driver collects its permit and hill clearance certificate). Ram Jhula / Laxman Jula : one of the land marks of Rishikesh, it is believed that Laxman crossed the Ganges on jute ropes between the place the bridge is built. SwaragAshram : situated on the foot of the Himalayas on the left banks of the ganges between Laxman Jhula & Rishikesh, filled with concentration of ashrams and temples. The place has been know for ages and popular with Yogi and Rishis meditating. Parmarth Niketan : one of the most popular ashrams where kids get VEDAS education. Dinner and Overnight stay at the Hotel. Day 07 : Rishikesh/ Delhi (200 kms/ 6 hrs.) 0900 hrs : After breakfast drive to Delhi – proceed for onward journey. |
